Children’s Ministry

Mission:  To help our children grow in wisdom and in the knowledge of God and man.

Children are a precious gift that God has entrusted to us so that we may guide them in their faith and help them grow into God-fearing adults.  Our children’s ministry focuses on both teaching children about Jesus on their level and making church a fun place they will want to attend as they grow older.  We are dedicated to bringing children up with the knowledge and understanding of the Lord, His Word and His Will.  We teach our children & youth through a variety of age-appropriate activities and classes.

Ages 0-12

Sunday Morning:

Ü     Sunday School

Ü     Children’s Sermon - Every Sunday during the worship service, children ages 2-12 are invited to a special teaching time with the Pastor.  Each week a child takes home the gospel bag, fills it with an object and brings it back.  Then the Pastor is given the object and has to link it to the gospel!  These short messages are a fun way that the kids can participate directly in the worship service and be reminded that Jesus loves them.

Ü     Children’s Church - Children ages 3-7 have their own teaching time while the adults are listening to the sermon.  They are taught to participate in the worship service before and after the sermon and still taught on their level.

Mid-Week:

Ü     Family Night - On Wednesday nights, we have a teaching time and craft that parents and children participate in together that focuses on biblical parenting and family skills designed for parents and children ages 4-11, nursery services, and activities for children of all ages.

Ü     Family Fellowship Events

Jr. High

Sundays:

Ü     Sunday School

Ü     Youth Group - Meets on the 2^nd Sunday of each month for after-worship food, fellowship & fun.  Meets on the 4^th Sunday of each month for a fun youth event.

Mid-Week:

Ü     Confirmation - Our junior high aged students spend two years in intense study of God’s Word and the basis of our beliefs.  They meet with the Pastor every Wednesday night from Easter to the end of November to study the Old Testament and the New Testament.  Every other Sunday afternoon, they and their parents/sponsor meet with the Pastor to study the doctrine of the church.
